What this website collects

Who operates this site

This site is operated by Local Marketplace Technologies Inc., San Francisco, California. PrefSift is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Meta (the maker of Muse), or the makers of other assistants named on this page.

The waitlist

When you join the waitlist we store:

• your email address;
• the route you chose (you and your assistant, a business, building an app, or not sure yet), which assistant you use if you tell us, and which button you used;
• the page variant, any campaign parameters in the link you arrived from, and the referring site’s domain;
• whether you used an interactive example before signing up (a yes/no flag and which example was open, nothing about what you changed);
• the version of this notice and the time of signup.

If you choose to add details afterwards, we also store what you enter, all of it optional:

• company name and website or business profile URL;
• your role, which AI assistant you use most, how far along you are with AI assistants, and what you would use PrefSift for first;
• free-text notes and whether you said yes to a short call about what your assistant would use this for. Notes are kept with your signup; do not paste customer names, addresses, or contact details;
• if you chose the business route, one quote your assistant made, with customer details removed (see “Quotes you send us” below).
• if you use “Talk to us”, your company name and, if you add it, what customers’ assistants ask you for, kept as a separate request alongside your email.

The examples on the page use made-up data. If you change an example and run it live, what you typed goes to our API and to OpenAI, which reads it to run that one example. It isn’t added to your signup or kept with your email.

We use this information to contact you about your access and to plan who gets it first. We may also tell the companies that make AI assistants how many people on this list asked for their assistant; that is a count, and your email and anything you typed stay with us. We do not sell your personal information or share it for advertising. We do not send a confirmation email; joining the list is complete when the page says so.

Quotes you send us

If you paste a quote your assistant made into the details form, or email one to contact@prefsift.ai, remove the customer’s name, address, phone, and email first. We use a quote only to understand how your business prices, and it is deleted with the rest of your signup.

Analytics, cookies, and logs

Product analytics are not enabled on this deployment. Our servers keep short-lived operational logs with request identifiers and error categories, not form contents. To limit abuse, repeated submissions from one network address, and repeated signups for one email address, are counted for a short window using a keyed one-way hash.

After a new signup we set one cookie, ps_enrich, for 30 minutes so the optional details form can attach to your record. It contains a signed reference to your record, not your email, is not used for tracking, and is removed when you save details or when it expires.

Where signups are stored

Signups are stored with these providers acting on our behalf: Railway (hosting and database), OpenAI (AI processing). They may be located outside your country; we rely on their standard contractual safeguards.

How long we keep it

Waitlist records are deleted 24 months after you sign up, or right away when you ask. When you ask us to delete your email, we keep only a one-way scrambled code made from it, with the date, as the record that we did. It can’t be turned back into your address.

Your choices, including California rights

Anyone can ask us to delete what we hold, at any time, with the form below. If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act also gives you the right to know what we hold about you, to correct it, and to have it deleted, and we won’t treat you differently for asking. We don’t sell or share personal information, and we don’t collect sensitive personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.

To see or correct what we hold, or if the form doesn’t work for you, email contact@prefsift.ai. Someone you authorize can ask for you. We answer within 45 days.

This site is not directed at children under 16. If this notice changes, the version and date above change, and the signup form links to the current version.
